If the insured/policyholder would like to surrender/cancel their life insurance policy or make a partial withdrawal from the policy fund, then the following procedures need to be followed:

Surrendering a Policy

reason for surrender along with the surrender/ cancellation form needs to be submitted at the nearest Edelweiss tokio life insurance branch along with the documents listed below.

Documents required:

• Original policy documents,
• Cancelled cheque of the insured's name
• In case the cancelled cheque does not have pre-printed name and account number or new account is mentioned on the cheque, pass book copy/ bank statement having pre-printed name and account number is required.
• Id proof (pan card, aadhar card, passport, driving license, voters id)
• Policy surrender or cancellation form
• Latest contact details
• NRE bank statement reflecting any premiums paid from nre account

Partial Withdrawal: reason for partial withdrawal along with the payout form needs to be submitted at the nearest Edelweiss tokio life insurance branch along with the documents listed below:-

Documents required:

• Original policy documents,
• Copy of ci or ypd submitted for withdrawal request (carry original for verification from branch)
• Cancelled cheque of the insured's name
• In case the cancelled cheque does not have pre-printed name and account number or new account is mentioned on the cheque, pass book copy/ bank statement having pre-printed name and account number is required.
• Id proof (pan card, aadhar card, passport, driving license, voters id)
• Pay out form
• Latest contact details
• NRE bank statement reflecting any premiums paid from nre account
