Paying premiums for your insurance plans has always been easy on the OneInsure app, but doing so on the newly-launched version of the app is a matter of a mere 10 minutes now! Don’t believe it? Go ahead and give it a whirl! Note that you can pay premiums for policies not bought from OneInsure too. You can even pay premiums for policies that aren’t yours!

In this piece, we will be discussing the Pay Premium feature.

So, if the time to pay your premium is closing in, log in to the new version of the OneInsure app and follow these steps to make the payment right away:

Tap on the Manage Existing Policy button on the home screen.
Select Pay Premium out of the four options that you see.
Select an existing, stored policy or tap Another Policy.

Option 1:
If you select an existing policy, you will directly be redirected to your insurer’s premium page after you tap on PAY NOW. Once on the insurer’s website, make the payment and complete the transaction.
Option 2:
After tapping on Another Policy, select the category of your insurance policy, followed by your insurer. Tap on PAY NOW after confirming the details on the pop-up window. You will be redirected to your insurer’s website, where you can make the payment and complete the transaction.

On returning to the app, tap on YES, UPDATE DUE DATE if your payment was successful. If your payment was not successful, then tap on NO, RETRY PAYMENT.

What are network hospitals and network garages?

A network hospital is a hospital with which your insurance company has collaborated to help you avail of cashless treatments during a medical emergency. This means you do not have to pay anything out of your own pocket if the claim amount has been approved by your insurer.

Likewise, a network garage is a garage that comes under the list of your insurer’s network garage list. As long as your claim has been approved, you do not have to pay repair and maintenance expenses out of your own pocket.

How to find a network hospital or a network garage?

You will get an updated list of network hospitals and garages from your insurer’s website.

How to find a network hospital or a network garage on the new version of the OneInsure app?

With the new version of the OneInsure app, locating nearby hospitals or garages will take just a few seconds. Install the OneInsure app and follow these steps to do so:

Step 1: On the home screen of the OneInsure app, you will see the Locators button on the ribbon at the bottom. Tap it.

Step 2: Choose what you are looking for from the options in front of you: Hospitals, Garages, Insurer Branches, Ambulance, or Blood Banks. As soon as you choose your option, you will get a list of options for nearby hospitals/garages along with relevant contact details and addresses.

Since its inception, OneInsure has always focused on enhancing customers’ experience with Insurance. This has also motivated us to design the OneInsure policy-management app, which is a one-stop solution for all those who hold insurance policy/-ies, regardless of whether they have bought their policy/-ies from OneInsure or not. From time to time, we have improvised our app to meet the needs of our users.

Recently, we have revamped our app and have introduced a number of new and interesting features that will delight our users and enhance their insurance experience like never before. So, don’t forget to try out the new version.

OneInsure’s LIC Calculator feature gives you a wealth of information about your LIC policy. Here’s a list of values you can generate by simply entering some basic information about your LIC policy:

Accumulated Bonuses – This is the additional amount that LIC will pay you in an Endowment plan over and above the basic Sum Assured amount.
Loan Availability – This tells you the maximum loan amount that you can avail under your LIC policy.
Paid-up Value – When the policyholder fails to pay premiums on time, the policy will acquire a paid-up value. This value will help you know your paid-up value in case you decide to stop paying premiums.
Guaranteed Surrender Value – This is the guaranteed amount that you will receive in case you decide to surrender your policy before the policy matures.

Excited? Well, here’s how you can get started with generating these values:

Tap the Manage Existing Policies button on the home screen.
Then tap on LIC Solutions.
On the window that now opens, tap on Check LIC Bonus.
Select an existing policy from the list of already-added policies or fill in details for another LIC policy that you want to generate this information for.
- If the policy has not been stored earlier, you will be prompted to enter details such as DOB, Gender, Date of Commencement, Last Premium Paid Date, and so on. Do so.
- Tap Display All Calculations.
A report will get displayed.

This new version is designed to make your task of managing insurance policies a cakewalk. In this piece, we will be discussing the Ask An Expert feature. Here's where you can view a short video on how to initiate a service through the Ask An Expert feature.

The Ask An Expert feature, as the name suggests, helps you shoot any insurance-related query you may have with respect to any of your insurance policies – life, health, motor, or others. By following these steps, you will get to speak to one of our experts, who will listen to your queries and help you resolve them as quickly as possible:

Tap on the Ask An Expert button that is available on the home screen of the new version of the OneInsure app.
Choose the category of insurance for which you have a query.
You will see a box that reads: Details regarding your query. Type in your query in that box and tap on Submit.

In 3 easy steps, you’re good to go. Within a few minutes of the submission of your query, one of our experts will get in touch with you.

What You Can Look Forward to on the OneInsure App

The OneInsure app is now updated and so much better!

A shiny new design, even more user-friendly features, and quicker service are just some of the value additions you can look forward to in the new version. This is the first major update in which the code that runs behind the app was re-written from scratch. A majority of the credit for the look and feel goes to the Technology team, who quite literally burned the midnight oil to bring this beautiful design (at least that is what the Marketing team thinks :-D ) to life.

This update has been made basis just one thing – Customer Feedback. While other companies that have apps rely heavily on their Digital Product Teams to dictate how their apps interact with users and what their apps will contain, we at OneInsure believe in the user feedback approach, thus making the app highly intuitive, customized to users, and containing nothing that shouldn’t 100% be there. This is why user convenience is at the very core of this release.

In the new and improved OneInsure app, it is you (our avid app user) who has been the inspiration, it is you who has led the innovation, and it is you who will feel the difference best. So, keep writing to us with your views, queries, feature requests, and appreciation so that we can continue to develop this app as per your needs. Now, let’s see what has really changed in the new app:

Once you log in to the new version of the app, the first major change you will notice is the presence of notifications on the dashboard (for users who have added policies to the account) or the banner (for users who are yet to add any policy). With these notifications, you will always know what needs to be done next. So, renewal reminders, renewal payments, and much more can be done directly from the dashboard.
We have four menu items affixed to the bottom of the page throughout the app. In addition to these, you might see the Ask An Expert button as a separate element on a few pages. The menu items are:
- Home (come to the dashboard from any screen inside the app)
- My Policies (browse and manage all your policies in one place)
- Locators (one of the most loved features from our earlier app; we recommend you explore it if you haven’t already)
- Nominee (informing your nominee is now right on the home screen)
- Ask An Expert (Have a query? Give this new feature a whirl and prepare to be amazed!)
Let us now draw attention to the My Policies section. It would not be wrong to assume that 80% of your work will get done through this section. It shows you all your policies in one place and lets you take actions like renewing your policy, initiating a free Service Request, or initiating Claim Assistance. You can also filter your policies category-wise for your convenience in this section. If you are a typical insurance stalwart with over 10 insurance policies, this filter feature will come in very handy for you.
If you want to do anything with your existing policy, the Manage Existing Policy section on the home screen is the place for you. You will find an array of services under this section. Go ahead and explore!
The Already Renewed button is now renamed to Mark as Paid. This is done with the sole intention of making it sound correct, since you are marking the payment as paid. When a premium is paid, users are required to tap Mark as Paid. This is important because users who do not confirm payment will not receive future renewal reminders. Take note of this, as failure to make the payment might attract penalty charges from the insurer while reinstating.
There’s news for LIC policyholders to rejoice about! LIC Solutions is the dynamic calculator that allows you to calculate relevant and important numbers for your LIC policy like Accumulated Bonuses, Paid-up Value, Projected Maturity Value, Surrender Value, and so on. This calculator is now hosted on the new OneInsure app. Apart from this, LIC policyholders can also find the whole suite of services (store policies, online renewal, set reminders, and much more) under a single sub-section that is exclusively for LIC policyholders. You can find this sub-section in the Manage Existing Policy section.
Claim Assistance is now divided into two sections – Emergency and Non-Emergency. In case of emergency, you can reach out to our expert directly so that we can quickly get in touch with you and assist you with your situation. In case of non-emergency, you can learn how to apply for an insurance claim step by step.
Purchasing a new policy can also be done through the app. The Compare & Buy section can be found right on the dashboard. We would like to reiterate that OneInsure has a very stringent purchase procedure from the sales point of view, which has enabled us to service thousands of happy customers over the last 10+ years!
We have received a lot of requests to make mutual fund management also a part of this app, but unfortunately, this is not allowed by IRDAI, the body that governs the Insurance industry. Sorry to say, but we still don’t support mutual fund management on the OneInsure app.

These are some of the most important and obvious changes we have made to the app with your feedback. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg and the more you explore, the more you will notice that the app has been completely re-engineered from the core and hence will offer a lot of convenience along with speed. We hope you will have as much of a happy experience with the new version as we had in developing it.

The other day, our client Mr. Varghese, who owns multiple insurance policies, had to urgently file a claim under his car insurance but he couldn’t locate his policy document. The prescribed time limit to file the claim was about to lapse when he contacted OneInsure. Our Claims Support Team immediately got into action and helped him get his policy details and file the claim.

So that he doesn’t get into a similar situation again, our team had him install the OneInsure policy-management mobile app right away.

For the uninitiated, OneInsure, which is powered by Robinhood Insurance Broker, is engaged in providing valuable insurance-related services to its customers for over a decade. Since its inception, the company is unceasingly working on improving customers’ insurance experience. This eventually gave birth to the OneInsure app, which is designed to help customers manage all their policies on a single platform. The OneInsure app is the smart insurance-holder’s single point of contact when it comes to availing insurance-related services. With its distinctive features, the app has managed to provide policyholders an insurance experience that is beyond just Compare & Buy. What’s more, since the app supports users regardless of where they have bought their policies from, this is really the top app when it comes to insurance management.

To further improve user experience, we have made a small change on the new version of the OneInsure app. The feature that was earlier named Emergency Contact has been renamed as Nominee Support.

By adding a near and dear one as Nominee, you get the following benefits (tap here to view a short video on how to add a Nominee support contact on the OneInsure app):

Your Nominee gets access to your policy information such as:

Insurance name
Policy name and the nickname you have assigned to it
Policy number
Due date of policy renewal and premium amount

If a situation arises wherein you cannot make a claim (for example, you are hospitalized), your Nominee can reach out to us and we will assist them with the claim procedure.

Adding Nominee details is very important since it will keep your loved ones in the loop and when the need arises, OneInsure will be able to provide them proper assistance. So make sure you do not forget to fill in this very important detail. To know how to keep your Nominee informed or how to add their details through the app, follow these steps:

Tap on Nominee on the ribbon at the bottom of the homepage.
Then tap on the Inform Nominee
Fill in all the requested details and click on the Add Nominee Support Contact button for confirmation.
In the confirmation popup that you will now see, you can opt to add another contact if you want to. If you do, tap on Add Another Contact.
Submit some basic information if you are not a registered user.

Do note that you can add contact details of up to 2 nominees.
You can edit or change your nominee details anytime you like.

The Premium Paid Certificate (also referred to as Insurance Tax Certificate) is a document issued by the insurance company to the insured individual that shows the total premiums the person has paid during a specific financial year. This document serves as an investment proof to receive tax benefits. The certificate is only made available after the insured individual has made the premium payment/s.

Tax deductions can be claimed under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act. To avail this benefit, you will be required to submit the premium paid certificates (tax certificates) for your insurance policies. OneInsure’s user-friendly app lets you download the tax certificate in just a few clicks. Follow these five simple steps to apply for tax certificate through the new version of the OneInsure app:

Open the new version of the OneInsure app and tap on My Policies, which can be found on the bottom ribbon of the homepage.
Select the policy for which you would like to receive the tax certificate.
Tap on Tap for more details and you will see a list of service options, such as View Full Policy, Claim Assistance, Tax Certificate, Ask an Expert, and so on.
Select Tax Certificate.
You will be given up to 5 different options (depending on the insurance company) to obtain your certificate. Choose the method of your convenience to receive the tax certificate:
- Via the insurance company’s Website
- Via Email
- Via Call
- Via SMS
- By visiting the Branch

All you need to do is add a premium reminder once on the app (see a how-to video) and you will receive reminders via notifications, SMS, and/or email a few days prior to the due date.

Adding a Reminder

You can add a reminder on the new version of the OneInsure app with these simple steps:

Step 1: Tap on the Manage Existing Policies button on the home screen of the new version of the OneInsure app.

Step 2: Select Set Premium Reminder from the four options that you see before you.

Step 3: Select an existing policy if you wish to add a reminder for a policy already stored on the app or add a new policy if you wish to add a reminder for a policy that isn’t stored on the app yet.

If you have selected an existing policy, then follow these steps:

Fill in the reminder details, such as Premium Due Date, Payment Frequency, Premium Amount (optional), and Policy Number (optional).
Tap on the Set Reminder button.

If you are adding a new policy, then follow these steps:

Select the medium through which you would like to upload your policy. For example, Fill a Form or Upload Image. Do note that policy images or PDFs may take up to 48 hours to get stored on the app.
Fill in the policy details and tap on Set Premium Reminder.
Fill in the reminder details, such as Premium Due Date, Payment Frequency, Premium Amount (optional), and Policy Number (optional).
Tap on the Set Reminder button and it’s done.

Editing a Reminder

If you would like to make any changes to the reminder (for example, change the date of the reminder) that you have set, follow these steps:

Step 1: Tap on the My Policies option from the ribbon at the bottom of the home screen of the new version of the OneInsure app.

Step 2: Tap on the editing symbol that you see beside the delete sign right under your policy.

Step 3: At this step, you will see options such as Premium Due Date, Monthly Premium Amount, and so on under the Set Premium Reminder option highlighted in blue. Edit these options to make changes to your reminder.

Step 4: Once you are done, tap on Save Policy at the bottom of that page.

With the new version of the OneInsure app, you can always stay informed about when you need to pay your premiums and how much you must pay. Download the app on your phone now and keep track of all your insurance policies at one place.

Submitting a claim with an insurance company can seem like a time-consuming task. It’s quite possible for one to oversee certain things while filing a claim, which in turn delays the pay-out from the insurance company. To simplify this process, we have designated a separate section for all insurance holders on the new version of the OneInsure app. Through this, you can initiate a claim with your insurance company in just a few clicks.

Let’s look at how you can raise a Claim Request on the newly launched version of the OneInsure app:

a. Tap on the Manage Existing Policies button on the home screen.

b. Select the type of claim, that is, Emergency or Non-Emergency.

Emergency:

Select the existing policy that you would like to raise a claim request for. Optionally, you can tap on New Policy
- Existing policy:
  1. Tap on Proceed to confirm your claim request.
  2. Select your current situation from the options.
- New policy:
  1. Select an insurance category, the insurer, the plan name (optional), the current situation, and city.
  2. Fill in your name and mobile number to proceed and accept the Terms & Conditions.
  3. Claim Request will get generated promptly (for immediate assistance, you can also opt to call or WhatsApp us).
  4. You can also store the policy by tapping on the Store This Policy button.

Non-Emergency:

Select the existing policy that you would like to raise a claim request for. Optionally, you can tap on New Policy
- Existing policy:
  1. Select your city.
  2. Select from among the options. For example, to know the claim process, to see a list of network garages or hospitals, or to download the claim form of the policy you have selected.
- New policy:
  1. Select an insurance category, the insurer, the plan name (optional), the current situation, and city.
  2. Register with some basic information if you are not a registered user. If you are registered, you don’t need to register again, of course.
  3. Select from among the options. For example, to know the claim process, to see a list of network garages or hospitals, or to download the claim form of the policy you have selected.
  4. If you choose the Email This Process option, ensure you append the correct email ID.
  5. Tap on Submit.

The new version of the OneInsure app provides you end-to-end Claim Assistance at the touch of a button. Not only can you initiate a claim, but you can keep track of it and view its status too. In case you are indisposed (due to hospitalization, for example), your Nominee contact will receive complete assistance from our end for any claim-related queries.

Not only can you initiate a claim, you can keep track of your service request and view its status. If you own two or more insurance policies, you will agree with us when we say life would be much simpler if you could store all your insurance policies in one place. With the newly-launched version of the OneInsure app, you are given the option to do just that—and a whole lot more, of course! The app lets you digitally store all your policies by simply entering your basic policy details, such as policy name, policy number, premium amount, and so on. Alternatively, you can also upload your policy copy.

Here’s a look at how you can add a policy on the OneInsure app.

Step 1: Tap on the My Policies button you see on the ribbon on the bottom of the home screen of the app.

Step 2: You will see the Store New Policy + button. Tap it.

Step 3: Next, choose a medium through which you want to store your policy:

Fill a Form – Select the category of your insurance policy, followed by your insurer. Then select your plan name (optional) and give a nickname to your policy. After you are done, tap on Save Policy.

Giving a clear, easily-rememberable nickname is important. Let’s say you and your spouse own the same policy. In such cases, the nickname is the differentiating factor.

Upload Image – On clicking Upload Image, you will land on a page that has a box that reads: Tap here to add image from gallery/camera. Tap and upload your policy. If the image is unreadable, you will receive an SMS and/or email from our end informing you about the same and requesting you to re-upload your documents.
Email – Drop an email with your policy details at addpolicy@oneinsure.com and mention your registered mobile number in the subject line. We will take it from there.

Note that images and/or PDFs will take at least 48 hours to get stored on the app. Post that, you can check your saved policies by tapping on My Policies.

You will receive an SMS and/or email from us notifying you about the policies that have been stored on the OneInsure app. Your Nominee contact will also be notified.

Wouldn’t it be much simpler to store all your insurance policies at one place? With OneInsure App, you can do that and a whole lot more! The App lets you digitally store all your policies by simply entering your basic policy details like policy name, policy number, premium amount, etc. or by uploading your policy copy.

Here’s a look at how you can add a policy on OneInsure App:

Step 1 - Click on the ADD POLICY button you see on dashboard.

Step 2 - You will be directed to a page titled ‘Select Your Insurance Type’ that lists the different categories of insurance (Car, Two Wheeler, Health, Life Insurance, etc.)

Step 3 - On selecting the insurance type, you will need to choose the medium through which you want to add the policy:

Fill Form - Enter your basic information (mandatory) and renewal details. You can add a nick name for your policy to help you easily remember the plan. After you are done, click on Save Policy.
Upload A Picture - Click a picture of your policy document and upload the same. If the image is unreadable, you will receive an SMS and Email from our end informing you about the same and requesting you to re-upload your documents.
Email Us - Drop an email about your policy details to addpolicy@oneinsure.com and mention your registered mobile number in the subject line. We will take it from there.

Step 4 - Once you are done with Step 3, you will be taken to ‘My Policies’ page where you can view all the policies you have added. (Note - in case you are uploading via a picture or Email, your policies will only go up on the App once our team has confirmed its authenticity).

You will receive an SMS and Email from our end notifying you about the policies that have been added on the OneInsure App. Your Nominee Support Contact will also be notified about the policies that have been put up on the App. To know what is Nominee Support, read here.

View policies you have added

You can view your policy details anytime of the day by clicking on the insurance category you see on the dashboard. Say, if you have taken two motor insurance policies, you can check details of the same by clicking on the Motor button (circle) you see when you open the App. The same applies to the other categories of insurance - click on the Life button to see the number of policies you have availed and its details, click on the Health button to view details of the health plans you have purchased, etc.

This new version is designed to make your task of managing insurance policies a cakewalk. In this piece, we will be discussing the three modes to initiate a service on the app:

Through the Manage Existing Policy feature
Through the My Policies feature
Through the Ask An Expert feature

Initiating a Service through the Manage Existing Policy feature

Here are the steps you need to follow to initiate a service request on the OneInsure app through the Manage Existing Policy feature:

Tap on the Manage Existing Policy button on the home screen of the new version of the OneInsure app.
You will see a list of services displayed on the screen that opens up. If you cannot see the service you are looking for in this list, tap the View All button. On tapping this button, you will be prompted to choose a policy from among the policies you have stored on the app or initiate a service for a policy that you have not yet stored on the app (by tapping on Another Policy).

When Choosing a Stored Policy
1. If you select an existing policy, the list of services available for that category of insurance will be displayed. Choose the service you would like to initiate by tapping the button.
2. The mode/s in which this service can be availed will be displayed.
3. On tapping any of these modes, the detailed steps will appear, which you can follow and initiate a service request. On the same screen, you will see a button named Free Expert Assistance. You may tap it to receive immediate expert help.
4. Do keep a note of the SR No. that is generated. You can use this in future communication regarding this service request.

When Choosing Another Policy

1. After tapping on Another Policy, you'll be prompted to choose an insurance category.
2. Once you do so, you need to choose the service you want to initiate.
3. Then select the insurer.
4. The mode/s in which this service can be availed will be displayed.
5. On tapping any of these modes, the detailed steps will appear, which you can follow and initiate a service request. On the same screen, you will see a button named Free Expert Assistance. You may tap it to receive immediate expert help.
6. Do keep a note of the SR No. that is generated. You can use this in future communication regarding this service request.

Initiating a Service through the My Policies feature

Here are the steps you need to follow to initiate a service request on the OneInsure app through the My Policies feature:

Tap on the My Policies button on the home screen of the new version of the OneInsure app.
All the policies you have stored on the app will be displayed. Tap the button named Tap for more details just below the policy for which you want to initiate a service request.
You will see a list of services displayed on the screen that opens up. If you cannot see the service you are looking for in this list, tap the View More Services button.
All the services available for this category of insurance will be listed. Tap on the one you are looking for.
The mode/s in which this service can be availed will be displayed.
On tapping any of these modes, the detailed steps will appear, which you can follow and initiate a service request. On the same screen, you will see a button named Free Expert Assistance. You may tap it to receive immediate expert help.
Do keep a note of the SR No. that is generated. You can use this in future communication regarding this service request.

Initiating a Service through the Ask An Expert feature

Tap on the Ask An Expert button that is available on the home screen of the new version of the OneInsure app.
Choose the category of insurance for which you have a query.
You will see a box that reads: Details regarding your query. Type in your query in that box and tap on Submit.

What do you do when you want to avail some kind of service on your insurance policy? You have to look up the services offered by your insurance company, reach out to your agent or visit the company branch, fill out the necessary documents, etc. - yes, the whole process can be rather tedious and time-consuming. To simplify all of this, we have designed our OneInsure App in such a way that you can initiate a service on your policy simply through your phone in just a few seconds.

Here’s what you need to do to initiate a service on OneInsure App:

Step 1 - Go to Services & Claims (third tab)

Step 2 - Click on the Services option

Step 3 - You will now see a page listing the various categories of insurance. Click on the policy for which you would like to initiate a service.

Step 4 - You will see a list of services you can avail on the policy. Say, if you have clicked on health insurance in Step - 3, you can choose from ‘assistance in health check-up’, ‘assistance in renewal’, ‘policy detail correction’, ‘enhancement in sum insured’ and others.

Step 5 - When you select any of the services, you will be directed to a page which contains information about the steps that need to be undertaken. If you still require help understanding or availing any service, click on the Need Assistance button that appears on the bottom right side of the App and we will get in touch with you.

Dear Policyholders, it has been a lovely journey so far where we listened to our App users’ reviews/feedback on a daily basis and have accordingly taken necessary measures.

We chose to communicate with you in the form of this article to tell you a little something about what the app really offers and how you can make the best use of it!

As we went through our user base, we realized that people only partly understood the uses of the app. One set believes that the OneInsure app is a platform to store all policies digitally at one place - which is true but that’s just one of the many functions. The other set believes that this app offers renewal reminders and gives users the option to make online premium payment - this is also true, but again this is just one of its several functions. The app has so much more to offer besides storing policies, setting renewal reminders and online payments. We are in the process of building an Ecosystem of support for insurance and we want insurance holders to manage their policies easily.

So what does it mean to manage policies?

There are certain things that an insurance holder needs to do in order to get the benefit of their policy when needed. Paying your premiums on time and disclosing complete and accurate information are just some of the things you are expected to do. Think about this - a CNG car owner needs to inform their insurer that they have a CNG fit in their car. Failing to disclose the matter, could possibly lead to denial or delay of claim pay-out. Car is an easier example to understand, but do you realise the risk if something bigger was in the picture, like your health or life?

Below are a few questions which might not have occurred to you until now but will surely help you understand what is at stake and how to get over it.

Have you updated your personal info like phone number and residential address with the insurer?

Is this really something that you need to do? Oh Yes, this is a very crucial piece of information and your insurer should definitely be informed about it. If you don’t inform your insurer, you risk losing the claim amount or even the cashless service you get in your health insurance plans.

You can easily update your personal information by raising a service request on the app.

Step 1: Go on Manage Existing Policy (Alternatively tap on Ask An Expert, select category of your policy, drop in your query, and tap on Submit)

Step 2: Click on View All on the middle right-hand corner

Step 3: Select your existing policy or add another policy if you wish to change the details of the policy you haven't added

Step 4: Tap on Policy Detail Correction and do as directed

Is your nominee informed about all your policies?

It has been seen that only about 30% of insurance holders are highly organized. This is a very low percentage of people keeping their nominees in the loop concerning their policies. Many are unable to keep their loved ones updated about their policies due to time restrictions, busy schedules etc. To help such individuals, we’ve built a feature called 'Nominee Support' on the app. What this feature does is it inform your near and dear ones (i.e. your nominee) about all the policies you hold and how to make a claim when the need arises. It is very easy to add a nominee support contact to your account on the app. Read here to know the process.

Irrespective of whether you are an organised Insurance holder or not, it is very important for you to have this information updated. This helps your nominee support contact to get in touch with us and we guide them through the entire process of making the claim.

Do you really understand your policy and what it has to offer?

If you answer is “Maybe” or “No” then KYP (Know your Policy) feature, built into the app, is for you! You can easily find out what your policy has to offer from the knowledge section.

We have realized in the past few months that most health insurance holders were not aware that they get a free annual health check-up as a product offering. If they had known, they could have called us or emailed us for arranging a health check-up.

If the KYP for your insurance does not show up, this may be because over the last 2 years we have tried and compiled KYP for highly sold products in the market but we haven’t completed the list. The products are getting updated by our product team as I write this article, but just in case if you don’t see it here feel free to give us a call on 86559 86559 or email us at support@oneinsure.com and we will help you understand it.

Do you know where your network hospital/garage is located?

It is practically impossible for a person to know about network hospitals since one wouldn’t know where and how one will fall ill. We have tried to solve this problem in the app - our app shows you all the network hospitals/garages. Just tap on Locators and select the option you're looking for. You will get a list of nearby hospital/garages. Besides, you can also look for nearby insurance branches, ambulances, and blood banks.

One thing we would like you to know is that although we have fixed several bugs, there can still be small areas where improvements can be made. We always welcome feedback, so do not hesitate to inform us if you find something broken in the app or where you would like to see an improvement. The Nominee Support feature on the new version of the OneInsure app is one of the most prominent and well-used ones. The feature helps keep your family in the loop concerning the insurance policies that you hold. This way, your loved ones won’t have to struggle to find your policy information during emergencies.

In India, 70% insurance-holders do not inform their loved ones about the policies they own, making their policies worth no more than pieces of paper in an emergency. For example, if you are hospitalized and unable to operate normally, how will your health plan benefit you? We added this feature especially for such scenarios. When you add a Nominee contact on the new version of the OneInsure app, they are always kept in the loop; besides, they can initiate a claim on your behalf too.

In this article, we will take a closer look at this feature and what you need to do to add a Nominee contact on the OneInsure app.

What details of my policy will my nominee receive?

When you add a Nominee contact, the individual will immediately receive an SMS notification from our end stating that s/he has been marked as your Nominee. Your policy number and details pertaining to your premium amount and sum assured will be shared with her/him.

The individual marked as your Nominee can initiate the claim process when you’re unable to do so. All the person has to do is reach out to us with the details that have been shared with them and we will provide the necessary Claim Assistance.

We will also communicate with your Nominee on a frequent basis concerning how they should file claims and what measures they need to take to ensure smooth execution of claims.

How do I add the contact details of my Nominee on the app?

Adding a Nominee contact on the new version of the OneInsure app will hardly take a few seconds.

Follow these simple steps to do so:

Step 1: Tap on Nominee on the ribbon at the bottom of the home screen.

Step 2: Then tap on Inform Nominee.

Step 3: Fill in all the requested details and click on the Add Nominee Support Contact button for confirmation.

Step 4: In the confirmation popup that you will now see, you can opt to add another contact if you want to. If you do, tap on Add Another Contact. Note that you can add contact details of up to 2 Nominees.

Step 5: Submit some basic information if you are not a registered user.

You can edit or change your Nominee contact anytime you like.

Tap on Nominee – Home Page- Bottom Ribbon
Tap on Inform Nominee button
Fill in all the details (Full name/mob no/alternate number (optional)/ email id/relationship with nominee) and click on Add nominee Support Contact button for confirmation i.e. to submit
Confirmation popup – with option to add another contact… tap on Add another contact if you want to add another contact for tab close to
Register with the basic info if not registered users

Step 1 - Tap on the Nominee button at the bottom ribbon (extreme right-hand side) on the home page

Step 2 - Tap on Inform Nominee

Step 3 - Fill details (such as your nominee's full name, mobile number, email ID, and so on) and tap on Add Nominee Support Contact

Step 5 - This step requires you to fill in your contact number as one-time free registration is required to set your nominee support contact details. Do fill in and tap on Request OTP

Step 6 - Verify OPT and your Nominee Support contact has been added successfully

Do note that you can add contact details of up to 2 nominees.

You can edit or change your nominee support contact anytime you like.
