The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) recently announced that linking of aadhaar number to insurance policies is mandatory. The linkage is mandated under the prevention of money-laundering (maintenance of records) second amendment rules, 2017. Failure to comply may lead to interruption at the time of claim settlement.

To link your aadhaar to Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance policy, here's what you need to do:

Step 1 - Visit https://www.Canarahsbclife.com/lifeinsurance/portal/canhold/home/manage-policy/update-aadhaar-details.

Step 2 - Fill up your policy/application number and date of birth. Click on the verify button.

Step 3 - Fill up your aadhaar number and upload a copy of your aadhaar card.

Step 4 - Once you are done with step 3, select yes and press on the update option.
