Initial Waiting period - This implies that the insured is not covered for the 20 diseases under this policy for the first 90 days
of the policy coming into existence. The waiting period is not applicable on subsequent renewals

Exclusion in Max Bupa Health Assurance Critical Illness Plan
- Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), AIDS-related complex or infection by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
- The Insured, whether sane or insane, attempts suicide or any self-inflicted injuries
- Any Congenital Anomaly or inherited disorder or developmental conditions of the Insured
- Narcotics used by the Insured Person unless taken as prescribed by a registered doctor, or the Insured Person?s abuse of drugs and/or consumption of alcohol
- Failure to seek or follow Medical Advice
- War (whether war be declared or not), invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities, armed or unarmed truce, civil war, mutiny, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, riot or civil commotion, strikes
- Taking part in any naval, military or air force operation during peace time
- Participation by the Insured Person in a criminal or a breach of law with criminal intent
