The premium receipts are important and must be procured so that you can claim tax deductions. While the 1^St premium receipt will be received with your policy kit, the subsequent premium receipts can be availed by taking out a print out from the online acknowledgement of the premiums paid.

You can also download premium paid certificates with the assistance of Oneinsure app. Simply install oneinsure app on your handset and follow the below steps:

Step 1 - open the app and go to 'services & claims'.

Step 2 - select 'services' option. You will land on a page of different categories of insurance. Choose the category of insurance - life insurance- and then the insurance policy whose tax certificate you want to avail.

Step 3 - click on 'policy status & statement' from the available options.

Step 4 - select 'tax certificate' as your option.

Step 5 - you will be given about 5 different options to get your certificate. They are - (1) via the insurance company's website, (2) via email, (3) via call, (4) via sms and (5) by visiting the branch. Choose the method of your convenience to get the certificate.
