How to make claim on accidental insurance?

Personal accidental insurance pays out a lump sum benefit should you suffer disability or pass away in an accident. In the event of an accident, follow the below steps to make a claim under personal accident policy:

For injury claim

  • Reach out to your insurance company right away
  • Provide them with the policy report (if applicable)
  • Submit the filled-up claim form and attach the medical certificate which confirms the disablement

For death claim

  • The nominee needs to inform the insurance company right away about the insured individual's demise
  • Provide them with the policy report (if applicable)
  • Submit filled-up claim form and attach death certificate and post mortem report

The insurance company may ask for additional documents depending on the kind of claim filed and the nature of the accident. If the insurance company is satisfied with the documents submitted, the benefit will be paid out.
