Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana policy is for those who are living below the poverty line and cannot afford insurance. Some of the benefits of the plan are discussed below:

1. Up to Rs 2 lakhs death benefit
2. Up to Rs 2 lakhs sum assured in the event of loss of both the hands, eyes, sight and legs
3. Up to Rs 1 lakh sum assured in the event of loss of one hand, eye, sight and leg.

Features of the plan:

1. Person living below the poverty line, falling within the age bracket of 18-70 years is eligible for the plan.
2. S/he must have a savings bank account.
3. The policy seeker needs to give a consent letter of authority for auto-debit purpose to pay the premium which is Rs 12 annually, deducted in the month of june.
