The scheme indira gandhi national disability pension scheme (igndps) was launched in February 2009 with the aim of aiding those with severe or multiple disabilities. Let us see some of its features:

1. The individual should be belonging to a household that falls under below poverty line category.
2. The scheme comes with an age bracket of 18-79 years with effect from october 2012.
3. The individuals will be eligible for Rs 300 per month.

It is also estimated that the programme is planning to cover at least 15 lakh beneficiaries under this scheme.
