To register a claim/seek assistance through the above contact points, the following information has to be provided to the customer support executive:-

Points to Remember

  • Assistance service provider is to be intimated in the event of any treatment, non intimation may invalidate the claim. 
  • Cashless will be extended for all in-patient treatments only when service provider is intimated & pre approval obtained (as per policy T & C)
  • OPD Claims  & claims other then In-Patient will be reimbursed upon return to India.
  • Policy does not cover traveling abroad for obtaining medical treatment & travelling against medical advice.

List of Documents

In case of a disability claim

  • Certificate from the Hospital and attending Medical Practitioner
  • Discharge summary from the hospital explaining the disability
  • Police report on the accident if any 
  • Hospital bills 

In case of a death claim

  • Police report on the accident, if any 
  • Death Certificate
  • Post Mortem report (if conducted)

Certificate from Institution, in case of a burglary claim

  • Duly completed claim form 
  • Copy of first information report/policy report.
  • Copy of final investigator report/non-detectable certificate issued by the police authorities/magisterial order.
  • Letter of undertaking/subrogation form obtained from the insured. 

In case of baggage loss claim

  • Duly completed claim form
  • Copy of the complaint filed with airline authorities 
  • Property Irregularity Report/ Certificate from airline authorities that baggage has been lost 21 of 22 
  • Copy of passport, visa with entry and exit stamp 

In case of baggage delay claim

  • Duly completed claim form 
  • Copy of the complaint filed with airline authorities
  • Property Irregularity Report/Certificate from airline authorities that baggage has been delayed from more than the specified hours
  • Vouchers/Bills for toiletries, medication and clothing
  • Copy of passport, visa with entry and exit stamp 

Medical Emergency

  • Claim form duly signed along with attending Medical Practitioner statement
  • Discharge summary
  • Hospital final bill
  • Attending Surgeon's/ Medical Practitioner's Prescription advising hospitalization
  • Surgery/consultation bills and receipts
  • Operation theatre 
  • Medicines bill with prescriptions of Medical Practitioners
  • Others if any
  • Copy of passport, visa with entry and exit stamp

Loss of Passport

  • Duly completed claim form 
  • Receipts for obtaining duplicate passport / travel documents
  • Copy of new passport, return tickets, previous passport (if available)
  • Certificate issued by embassy of India; stamps, cost of a professional account or solicitor (Excluding any transportation involved in getting duplicate passport.)

Dental Expenses

  • Claim form duly signed along with attending Medical Practitioner statement
  • Original documents of Medical Practitioner's medical report, admission and discharge cards, and prescriptions
  • Original bills, vouchers, reports and payment receipts stating the details of the tooth treated and the treatment performed
  • Copy of X-ray, pathological and investigative reports 
  • Copy of passport, visa with entry and exit stamp

Process of claim

The treatment is to be intimated with respective service providers within prescribed timelines.

All prescriptions, investigation reports & medicine bills are to be kept handy.

The claim file is to be prepared with ref to check list & to be submitted upon return to India.

Duly filled claim forms along with all necessary documents are to be submitted within prescribed timelines.

Insurer will inform about any deficiency within 7 days.

Post receiving of all required info, the claim will be processed within 30 days.

If the claim is approved, amount will be transferred within 30 days.

If the claim is rejected, letter with details are to be shared with Insured.
