This policy offers compensation in case of death or bodily injury to the insured person, directly and solely as a result of an accident, by external, visible and violent means.
Unique Features of ManipalCigna - Lifestyle Protection - Accident Care Plan
Permanent Total Disability/Accidental Death (Common Carrier)- In the event of Permanent Total Disability/ Accidental Death (In Common Carrier) due to an accident, the company shall pay 200% of the Sum Insured.
Emergency Ambulance Cover: Ambulance Expenses incurred to transfer the insured person to the nearest hospital due to an emergency caused by an accident.
Broken bones - A lump sum payment would be made as per scale provided in the policy, in the event of fracture of bone due to an accident.
Children's Education Bonus - If a claim under AD or PTD is accepted for an insured person, the company shall pay a compensation as mentioned in the scale.
Burns Benefit: If the Insured Person suffers from Burns due to an Injury, a compensation will be paid.
Orphan Benefit: In the event of accidental death of the parents, an amount equal to the sum insured towards dependent child as ‘orphan benefit’ shall be paid.

Exclusion in ManipalCigna - Lifestyle Protection - Accident Care Plan
Accidental Bodily Injury that you meet with or arises out of:
- Any Pre-existing Disease or Disability arising out of a Pre-existing Diseases or any complication arising there from.
- Suicide, self-inflicted injury or acts of self-destruction
- Mental illness, psychiatric condition, mental disorders
- Certification by a Medical Practitioner who is a member of the Insured Person's Family
- Death or disablement arising out of foreign invasion, warlike operations, participation in any naval, military or air-force operation
- Death or disablement caused by sexually transmitted diseases
- Congenital diseases, defects or anomalies or in consequence thereof, etc.
