Critical features of New India Family Floater Mediclaim Policy
- Room rent:
Limits imposed towards room and ICU rent expenses
- Room Rent - 1% of the Sum Insured.
- ICU - 2% of the Sum Insured.
- Co-Pay:
Specific % of admissible claim amount to be borne by Insured
- This plan has a zone wise co-payment clause which is 10% to 20%. For further details kindly refer the policy document.
- Limit on Cataract Treatment will be Actual or Rs 24,000, whichever is less for each eye.
- Bills raised seperately (Not included under hosp.) shall be covered provided - Surgeon fee and Anaesthetist fee would be reimbursed, limited to the maximum of 25% of Sum Insured. Fees paid in cash will be reimbursed up to a limit of Rs. 10,000/- only, provided the Surgeon/Anaesthetist provides a numbered bill.
- No Claim Bonus:
Health Insurance policies may offer Cumulative Bonus wherein for every claim free year, the Sum Insured is increased by a certain percentage at the time of renewal
This plan does not have no claim bonus benefits.
- Pre-Existing Diseases:
Means any condition, ailment or injury or related condition(s) for which you had signs or symptoms, and / or were diagnosed, and / or received medical advice/ treatment, within 48 months prior to the first policy issued by the insurer
- This plans has a waiting period of 4 years is case of a pre-existing diseases.
- Covered after 2 years for Hypertension, Diabetes, and their complications conditions upon payment of additional premium

- Minimum Age of Entry:- Children- 3 months to 25years/Adult-18 years
- Maximum age of Entry:- 60 years
- Sum Insured:- 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs
- Policy Tenure:- 1 year

Individual - Self, Spouse, Children, Parent.
Family Floater - Self, Spouse, Children, Parent.
- Premium Calculated on Basis of:- Age, Zone (i.e. sum Insured Choosen)

Exclusions
- Dental treatment except arising out of accident.
- Debility and General Run down Conditions
- Sexually transmitted diseases and HIV (AIDS)
- Circumcision, Cosmetic surgery, Plastic surgery unless required to treat injury or illness
- Vaccination and Inoculation
- Pregnancy, ailments related thereto and child birth
- War, Act of foreign enemy, ionising radiation and nuclear weapon.
- Treatment outside India
- Naturopathy
- Domiciliary Treatment
- Experimental or unproven treatment
- All external equipments such as contact lenses, cochlear implants etc
- Medical Expenses relating to any hospitalisation primarily and specifically for diagnostic, X-ray or laboratory examinations and investigations
