GST is India’s Economic Liberation and Freedom: Anil Ambani

“GST is just another piece of reform or transform, however significant.”  - Anil Ambani

Business tycoon Mr. Anil Ambani, at a mutual fund industry event on Thursday commented on the implementation of GST declaring it as “just another piece of reform”. According to him GST is the liberation of our (Indian) economic imagination. He even declared GST rollout as India’s economic freedom.

He further drew a comparison between the event of the unveiling of the Goods and Services Tax with India’s freedom. He called himself and all Indians as the privileged ones, as we are going to witness or be a part of the GST rollout moment at the midnight of 30th June. According to him, this reform is a move towards better and liberal economy.

Through his eyes the forthcoming speech of honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is another ‘tryst with destiny’ speech that our first Prime Minister Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru gave on the eve of India’s Independence.
