Now if you really want to shell out that much for a mobile phone, we are not here to stop you. But take a moment to consider what else you could do with that ₹1,02,000:
Travel abroad
How about a trip to Malaysia, Indonesia or Vietnam? You can enjoy the scenic beauty, beaches, natural landscapes as well as visit the ancient citadels, all for less than the cost of an iPhone X.
Build a mini gym at home
Rather than splurging so much on a phone, how about building a mini gym at home? Doesn’t that sound like a healthier option? You can get a treadmill for around ₹30,000, an exercise bike for about ₹7,000 or so, a bench press and a pull up bar for a couple of thousands.
Invest it
Thinking about buying the new iPhone X through the EMI option? Instead why not invest the same amount in an SIP? You will amass a considerable corpus in the end. The other options include putting your money in fixed deposits, bonds or equities. Depending on your risk appetite, choose where you want to invest.
New motorbike
If you are willing to spend a lakh, why not use it to get a bike or a scooter? There are some rather interesting two-wheeler offerings you can buy for the same price as an iPhone X.
